Test Site for AACP Social and Administrative Sciences Curriculum Committee

Hi Everyone, This will be a test site for the AACP SAdS Curriculum Committe blog until the AACP creates their own blog capabilities. The blog will be open for any ideas, but hopefully will be a great place for teaching tips. Thanks for viewing and helping to get some content posted.

  1. ACPE recently updated the accreditation standards ( http://www.acpe-accredit.org/deans/standards.asp ). A few changes were made to the Social and Administrative Pharmacy list. Let's have a conversation, section by section.

The first section is Health Care Delivery Systems which includes introduction to United States, state, and local health care delivery systems and their interfaces social, political, and economic factors of the U.S. health care delivery system principles that influence the distribution of pharmaceutical products and services role of public and private insurers, pharmaceutical industry, and managed care on health care delivery in the United States Medicare and Medicaid Indigent care programs incidence of and problems associated with drug overuse, underuse, and misuse in the U.S. health care system new models of care, including integrated care systems, medical home models of care, accountable care organizations
