ACPE Changes in Practice Management

The changes in Practice management in the ACPE guidelines 2.0 include leadership development, management of transformational change, emotional intelligence for leaders, creating/implementing shared mission and vision, basic drug procurement process, integration of clinical and distributive function s with medication therapy management and other patient care services. These are in addition to the previous management principles (planning, organizing, directing, and controlling resources) applied to various pharmacy practice settings and patient outcomes; management of staff within the practice setting, including pharmacists, technicians, and other supportive personnel; principles of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling pharmacy resources; tools, including informatics, needed to assess and address change, increase competitiveness, improve quality, and optimize patient services.

How are these incorporated into your curriculum? Any teaching tips? How are you assessing these aspects?

Hi Everyone, This will be a test site for the AACP SAdS Curriculum Committe blog until the AACP creates their own blog capabilities. The blog will be open for any ideas, but hopefully will be a great place for teaching tips. Thanks for viewing and helping to get some content posted.
